Good brunch options. Their take on eggs Benedict is pretty good with beef cuts. It is quite small so big groups may want to go elsewhere but for a small family or group of friends. A good way to start or end you trip around the botanical gardens.

One of the best brunch spots in the city, always a wonderful way to accentuate a trip to the botanical gardens! The ancho beef medallions and the ancho chicken breast are always tender and have great flavor.

Even though I rated Anne Marie's Carriage House Bistro as 3 stars, that doesn't mean the food is bad. It's actually good, it's just that there is better elsewhere in SA, in a number of places.

We started with their house salad which was fine and the tortilla soup. The soup was okay/good. I didn't think the soup itself was that complex or flavorful, but I've had much worse. The wife had the bistro chicken pasta, which had a kick of Mexican spice that was a bit unlike any I've had, and not necessarily in a great way. The chicken was flavorful and moist, but it seems like it was over-spiced (flavor too strong). The pasta and sauce seemed like a mix of cream and tomato sauce. However, the sauce was way too thin and should have been reduced by boiling the extra water out. Further, it was plated in a flat plate, when it probably should have been in a bowl. I had the ancho chili tenderloin medallions with jalapeno cream sauce and rosemary potatoes. The meat was fine, a bit overcooked and over-spiced, but enjoyable. The potatoes were quite tasty as well. And best of all there was plenty of cream sauce making this for me a comfort dish. The cream sauce itself was really good and adequately thick.

In short, if you're around the Botanical Gardens, Anne Marie's isn't a bad place to stop for a bite. However, I personally will not be going out of my way to eat there as there are better brunches to spend my hard earned money on.

Was very disappointing, we have always enjoyed it. Everything was off, even the bread they bring you. Maybe they were just running out of ingredients or just too busy.

Brunch was pretty good and different. It's definitely not southern food nor Texas. I ordered the Ham and Asparagus Crepe with a Raspberry Bellini total cost was about $20 including tip. Servers are a little too chatty, but are nice. The restaurant owners should really rethink the outside patio... It has so much potential to be really nice and attract more locals.
