  You walk into a crowded pub and the smell of beer and peanuts hits you in the face. There are bottles of malt vinegar, so you know they've got fish and chips before you sit down. But it's the price attraction that separates true Irish pubs from the pretenders: corned beef and cabbage. And it is amazing. Sent a picture of the corned beer and cabbage plate with a pint of beer to my Irish friend currently on a diet. He was jealous.

  First off, the hilarious entertainer on the piano is the only reason I'm giving 3 stars. Our server only found time to get us 1 round of drinks in the hour and a half we were there. Luckily the entertainment was top notch.

  Fun place where audience participation is encouraged. The piano player was entertaining although the volume was a little loud. Shepherds pie and the patty melt are good. The wait staff is attentive and service is pretty fast. Only real disappointment is that the Guinness was not drawn properly; bartenders just pulled the handle and left it run, as one would do for a pilsner or IPA. As a result, the Guinness bitters overwhelmed the true wonders of the brew. However, Durty Nellie's will become a repeat stop on my next visit.
