  “Wonderful historic hotel”
  They have done a great job of keeping the hotel's historic character but also making updates. Our room was great with exposed beams and stone. Good breakfast buffet. Great location just outside the Alamo wall and a 3 minute walk to the river. For being so centrally located I didn't notice any noise. Great choice in San Antonio.

  First, I'll start with my complaints: the rooms are relatively small, and they lack some modern amenities.
  
  However, the hotel itself is very nice, and the rooms are well-furnished and very comfortable. Most of them have a good view of San Antonio. The hotel restaurant is nice, but with so many other options nearby, it's unlikely you'll spend much time there!
  
  The hotel is well located, and all of the service staff we interacted with were professional, courteous, and very helpful.
  
  In other words, it's awesome!
