- 5 / 5By A JFirst Course Salads is a step above Salata (and I like Salata). If your'e near La Cantera mall or The Dominion, check this place out. First of all, very friendly staff. Secondly, the food is SUPER-FRESH...every single item, including the chicken. Third, the decor is excellent. They clearly put a lot of money into the quality interior. Finally, DESSERT. They have this delicious dessert which they don't call ice cream because it is made from skin milk and is low in sugar (less than 100 calories...I asked). But it tastes like soft serve ice cream, and is only $1.50 with salad. I live in Alamo Heights but head all the First Course periodically because the salads are that good.April 11, 2017
