  Want to like this place as I love the type of food. Unfortunately the times I have gone the food is not hot. It was hardly warm. I admit I have gone a little late closer to 1 than 12 but the ham hocks I was served still had bristles on them. My veggies were like leftovers. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt and will say I imagine their food is better when it is earlier in the day and the food is fresher.

  Our family loves the food at Mr & Mrs G's! The fried chicken is So good, even the white meat is moist. My husband loves the ham hocks, meatloaf, & fried fish... Love their sweet potatoes, greens & wonderful peach cobbler, pecan pie & banana pudding, YUM! Mr & Mrs G are the nicest, Christian people around & so is their son, Kenyan. We are so disappointed with the negative reviews that some people have posted, those people should be ashamed. That's just mean & rude. Thank you Mr & Mrs G for the wonderful food! God Bless you & your business!

  The best goddamn home cookin joint I've found in San Antonio. Family comes from NC, so not that far from where I came up.
  
  Baked chicken, cream corn, mashed potatoes and beef gravy, and some damn good collard greens.
