  This was my first visit to Egg & I at the Bandera & 1604 and probably the last. My wife and I were seated within minutes of arrival, however we waited 15 minutes before being approach by any staff member. The young lady that came to our table wasn't our waitress but noticed we had been sitting for some time. She asked if our waitress had helped us, to which we replied no. She asked for our drink ordered and stated she would alert our waitress. After a several more minutes, our waitress finally came to our table. She took our order and disappeared again. We didn't see her again until she bought our food. My order, biscuits and gravy with a scrambled egg was cold. I would have alerted her to this but she was nowhere to be seen. On a positive note, my wife enjoyed her meal. She had an omelette, English muffin and bacon. As far as the price, it was a bit more than we usually pay, but no worries. We're headed back to our normal spot.

  I received very courteous and attentive service. Within 15 minutes of opening on Saturday morning the place was already buzzing with diners, and the staff were buzzing too...it made it a real pleasure to dine there. Coffee was good; Swedish pancakes were good; and my over medium eggs were cooked perfectly. Great breakfast spot.

  Wonderful breakfast plates from seasonal flavored pancakes to extra large French toast to Crabcake Eggs Benedict and so much more. They also have great sandwich, soup and salad options. The servings are large and definitely shareable. I saw many Avocado Toasts being served with a high pile of avocado on top. The servers and staff were all very pleasant and everything was served quickly.
